Vitality Sweep G2 2-0 to Advance to VALORANT Champions 2026 Upper Bracket Finals
Team Vitality are heading to the Upper Bracket Finals of VALORANT Champions 2026 after defeating G2 Esports with a clean 2-0 scoreline. The victory is one of the most significant results for the European organization in recent VALORANT history.
A Tough Start, Then a Statement
The series did not come easy from the opening whistle. The first map, Abyss, was selected by G2 Esports, and the contest lived up to expectations with a tough, closely fought battle between two of Europe’s top rosters.
Despite the pressure, Vitality held their composure and came away with the win on Abyss. Securing that first map clearly gave the team momentum heading into the second half of the series.
Vitality Turn Up the Heat on Map Two
If Map 1 was a grind, Map 2 was a showcase. Vitality came out with a noticeably stronger performance on the second map, closing out the series in dominant fashion.
The difference in control and execution on the second map left little room for G2 to fight back. It was the kind of performance that sends a message to every remaining team in the bracket.
Mercedes-Benz Arena Awaits
With the series win secured, Vitality now advance to the Upper Bracket Finals, where they will face Brazilian powerhouse LOUD. The match will take place at the iconic Mercedes-Benz Arena, raising the stakes even higher for both teams.
LOUD have been one of the most consistent teams in VALORANT’s competitive scene, making this matchup one of the most anticipated at Champions 2026. A spot in the Grand Finals will be on the line.
What This Means for Both Teams
For Vitality, reaching the Upper Bracket Finals at VALORANT Champions is a major milestone. It keeps them in the winners’ side of the bracket, meaning they have a direct path to the Grand Finals without needing to fight through the Lower Bracket.
For G2 Esports, the loss means they will now drop into the Lower Bracket. They still have a chance to fight back and reach the Grand Finals, but the road just got significantly harder.
The Bigger Picture
VALORANT Champions 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most competitive editions of the tournament yet. With teams like Vitality, LOUD, and G2 all still in contention, fans can expect the remaining matches to deliver high-level play.
All eyes now turn to the Mercedes-Benz Arena as Vitality and LOUD prepare to clash for a spot in the Grand Finals.
