Choose the next position early
In a battle royale, moving is a decision about risk. The destination matters, but so do the route, available cover and the information the team has about nearby opponents.
Before a rotation, agree on where to regroup. A clear destination can prevent a routine move from turning into four separate engagements.
Make room for new information
A plan should be specific enough to follow and flexible enough to change. An unexpected team, a blocked route or missing transport can make the original choice worse than a less ambitious alternative.
When watching competitive play, notice how long a team waits before moving and what information arrives during that pause.
Review decisions before outcomes
A strong finish does not mean every rotation was good. An early exit does not mean every decision was wrong. Look at what the team knew when it moved, and whether the route matched that knowledge.
Tournament scoring and formats can vary. Check the organiser’s current rulebook before applying an approach to a particular event.
